The playing field
Information about The Playing Field
The current play equipment was installed in 1999 with funding from WREN.
The Parish Council are currently working to replace this equipment, with support from the FCC community fund.
The Playing Field
The village playing field was acquired by the Parish Council in 1952 and now provides a range of facilities for residents of the village.
These facilities include:
- A large playground with equipment suitable for children from the age of two (under supervision) which is just outside the Village Hall.
- A tennis court which doubles up as a netball pitch and basketball court (behind the village hall)
- A football pitch (dressing rooms are available in the Village Hall and bookings should be made with the Village Hall Committee)

Youth Space
A brand new multi-use games area and a mini skate park was unveiled at the playing fields in Bubbenhall on Saturday 7th September 2013 during the village’s popular annual show.
Kelly Sibley the International Table Tennis player from Leamington Spa and Tom Morrison (aged 12) from Bubbenhall officially declared this new and exciting facility open.
Young people from Bubbenhall and the surrounding villages are now free to take part in football, tennis, basketball and cricket at the new facility as well as try out their skills at skateboarding without the need to book and completely free of charge.
Councillor Joanne Shattock, chair of Bubbenhall Parish Council at the time, said “We are extremely grateful to WREN and to Warwick District Council for the funding they have provided towards this project. For the first time we have been able to provide young people with much needed space for them to play and we hope they enjoy it for many years to come”.
Peter Cox, managing director of WREN said “WREN is committed to funding projects that make a real difference to local communities and young people. The Bubbenhall Youth Space Project has provided a fantastic space for young people to get outdoors and have some fun. We’re delighted to support Bubbenhall Parish Council to make this happen”.
